MAJOR MCINTYRE
About The Author

Major McIntyre was born August 14, 1959 in the town of Flora, Mississippi. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a B.A. Degree in Communication. He is the Founder and President of The Shepherd’s Door Ministries, formerly known as I Corinthians 13/Psalm 23 Ministries, which is a mercy ministry that offers the love of Christ to the Homeless, the Youth, Elderly Care Homes, and Prisons; also known through the acronym H.O.P E. (Homeless, Orphan, Prison, and Elderly). Major has been actively involved in providing resources such as food, clothing, shelter, and the Message of Christ. The Shepherd’s Door is an outreach to the Inner City area of Atlanta Georgia.
Major McIntyre is a certified Ordained Minister and also the presiding Bishop of The Shepherd’s Door Ministries. He has been a pillar in the community; proving service for almost 40 years (1984-2021), offering direction and hope through Jesus Christ. Since 1983, and upon graduating from Mississippi State University, he began a promising career with Exxon Corporation (Esso Eastern Incorporated), but resigned his position to fulfill the call to be a full time minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Once He felt the Holy Spirit tugging at his heart to do the works of Ministry on college campuses across America, he relinquished his position and began to serve God and the community in this capacity. Major has ministered and held seminars on College campuses all across America

He is the Founder and President of the former Rap Group called Inner City Boys. ICB were two-times Texas Gospel Music Christian Rap Group of the Year. During their youthful days of ministry, the group provided hope while challenging young men and women to reach their destiny through Christ Jesus in this nation. They performed concerts nationally in the public school systems, prisons, and on college campuses all across America.
Over the years, Mr. Major McIntyre has also been engaged in the following areas in the community: He worked as a volunteer in Houston, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, and Jackson, Mississippi, and New Orleans, Louisiana in dealing with dysfunctional families; providing family counseling and basic assistance with food and shelter. Major has in the past volunteered to serve alongside Prison Fellowship Ministries International for a number of years; visiting those who were incarcerated with the message of love and hope in Jesus Christ, while also providing support for those who were transitioning from prison life back into the mainstream of society, assisting with Jobs and housing. He has worked along with local businesses and companies to provide jobs for the unemployed
He has spent years serving as a volunteer on political campaigns in many of the communities where God called him; working to provide hope through God’s Words. He has worked to elect officials who would provide hope and needed change legislatively that do not violate the laws of God; particularly to end abortion in this nation.
Major has received certifications for HONORARY CITIZENSHIP from THE CITY OF NEW ORLEANS as presented by the Mayor in 1991; in 2002, he also received a certificate of appreciation from the TEXAS YOUTH COMMISSION; as a young minister in Christ, He was also named among the Outstanding Young Men of America in 1993.
Mr. Major McIntyre’s credentials and accomplishments have clearly demonstrated a lifelong dedication to the community and helping others, while remaining a dedicated servant of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior
